studio.LUC silver works

An exploration of a passed-down passion opens up an experimental approach to traditional silver working. Initial experience was gained in the workshop of the grandmother, a dedicated goldsmith, whose tools are still used today to develop new design approaches.

At the heart of the process lies an experimental technique: silver sheet is heated to the brink of melting, and when the heat is then abruptly withdrawn, the surface shifts and distorts due to the sudden cooling. The result is a texture reminiscent of crumpled paper; rough, irregular, yet delicate. This interplay between the hardness of metal and the appearance of soft, paper-like forms, forms the basis for a small collection of rings, a pendant, and stud earrings.
Since then I have been experimenting with and applying further techniques, as can be seen in the works presented below.
